The Jeep JL Security Deck Enclosure creates a large and lockable storage area. The lid secures shut using Tuffy's patented security system working in conjunction with the Jeep's locking tailgate. The lid easily hinges open and can be held up using an attached support rod. The lid, vertical front and side panels can be easily removed without tools so larger items can be transported when required. The entire Tuffy Deck Enclosure is constructed using welded 16 gauge steel, heavy duty fasteners, and covered with a durable textured powder coat finish. The Tuffy Deck Enclosure does not rely on the wheel well to create an enclosed space adding an additional level of security. The vehicle power lock switches on the tailgate become disabled after approximately 16 seconds when locking the doors with the key fob so the enclosure remains secured. The patented design, quickly and easily installs to the vehicle floor with standard hand tools in the 4 door model with and without an OEM hardtop.

This deluxe security deck enclosure creates a large and lockable storage area. It works in conjunction with the vehicle rear door and lock. The lid easily hinges open and is secured shut using Tuffy's patented security system. In comparison with Part # 299 - 2011+ JK Unlimited Security Tailgate Enclosure, the lid, vertical front panel and complete side panels can be easily removed without tools so larger items can be transported when required. The unique lid design is not attached to the front panel and is constructed from weight bearing structural welded steel. The entire Tuffy deck enclosure is constructed using welded steel, heavy duty fasteners, and finished with a durable textured powder coating. The steel Tuffy side panel does not rely on the deck sidewall (wheel well) to create an enclosed space adding an additional level of security. The patented design quickly and easily installs to the vehicle floor with standard hand tools in both 2 and 4 door models with and without an OEM hardtop. The 2-door rear seat must be removed when the deck enclosure is installed. It functions with the OEM compartment cover, OEM Subwoofer and/or the Tuffy Cubby Cover Part#143. On vehicles with the side mounted OEM Subwoofer an additional panel is included to fill that space. This tailgate security enclosure is a simple, one-piece hinged design that creates a lockable storage area completely protected on all sides. The patented design works in conjunction with the lockable vehicle tailgate and the existing vehicle geometry to secure the area created without the need for a rigid panel connection, any releasable lock mechanisms or other unnecessary hardware. The innovative design eliminates the burden of having to bolt a bunch of panels together. The enclosure maintains the use and function of the rear seat in 2-door models. Quickly and easily installs with standard hand tools in the 2 door Jeep JK model with an OEM hardtop or softtop. It will work in vehicles equipped with or without the subwoofer and functions with the OEM storage cover or the Tuffy Cubby Cover part number 143. Assembly can be easily removed for transporting larger items. On vehicles with power door locks, arming the security alarm automatically disables the power door lock switches and ensures the tailgate and Tuffy enclosure are secure, even on softtop models or with the top removed.
